We are hoping to get help for our Grandpa Charles Steel, as his long battle with COPD has come to a critical point in his life. Charles is in need of a lung transplant in order to enjoy his family which includes 7 grand kids. One of their favorite ways to spend time with their grandpa is to take him to the beach. Now, with his condition, he is sadly unable to do so. Family is everything to Charles.
He has been a long time resident of Crescent City, CA and worked for the California state parks for 9 years and was such a rewarding experience. This gave him the opportunity to meet people from all over the world who would come to visit the famous Redwood trees. In addition to his work at the state parks, Charles also worked for Country Solid Waste Management
in Klamath and Gaskey counties.
Now due to his current condition, Charles can no longer enjoy those experiences he once had. In order to receive his much needed lung transplant, Charles will incur thousands of additional expenses such as but not limited to insurance premiums, co-pays and deductibles and other uncovered services such as relocation, traveling and lodging for himself which he will need upon receiving the transplant.
No amount is too small and any help is greatly appreciated! From the Steel family to yours, we would like to say, thank you.
Family and friends of Charles Steel are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Charles has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the GIVE button. And please share this page with your family and friends so they to can consider a donation.
