Thank you for your support!
Hello all! So I had my transplant dome on 07/14/2020 and I am doing excellent besides the usual surgery symptoms. My kidney has done wonders and I already see many positive changes in my body. Thank you all as I consider you part of my transplant team. This transplant has been successful thanks to the surgeons, nurses, donor, family and friends that provide support.
Hello everyone,
Due to SARS COV-19 virus pandemic my surgery was cancelled and I am awaiting a new date. Thank you all for you kind donations.
Hello All! I am still doing fairly well to date. Preparing for a surgery is a very stressful process as I have been told that I will not even be able to drive. Looking forward to a prompt recovery- estimated at 2-3 months. Well surgery day is April 21. Again, thank you all for your loving manifestations of love.
Hello friends and family! I am forever thankful to those who have come forward and donated to my fund. I am optimistic about my surgery and recovery time. I will update this page frequently so you all can follow my journey.
Hello everyone! I wanted to share my story here as I believe it would be important not only to help me personally but to create awareness of this life threatening disease. Back in June 2018 I began to notice blood in my urine without any other symptoms. I waited approximately 3 days and then decided to go see my doctor for an evaluation. Routine urine test was quickly followed by an ultrasound. It was then when I was diagnosed with PKD (polycystic kidney disease) which means that my kidney developed over the years multiple cysts and now they have grown that they are affecting the function of my kidneys. At the time of my diagnosis, the function of my kidneys was at 25% and now it is at 12%. During my monthly check-ups, my nephrologist advised me that I had two choices, go on dialysis or get a transplant. By God's divine kindness, a very good friend of mine came forward and offer to be my donor. After long periods of testing for both of us, it turned out that her match with me is higher than what was expected. I am scheduled to have a kidney transplant in April.
It has been a tough journey for me because I really have not had enough time to digest all of this that is happening to me. I am asking for your help to help me get thru this surgery and recovery time and get back on my feet as soon as possible. Anything that you could contribute with will be greatly appreciated.
