My name is Jocelyn and I have kidney disease.

I was born with an autoimmune disease called FSGS.
I didn’t find out about my condition till I was 5 months pregnant. I was told that my son would not make it or I could have complications and my health was at risk. I had to be hospitalized for 3 months and start dialysis. From getting poked 2-3 times every day, sitting through 4 hours of dialysis, and making sure I was staying on top of my medications it was all worth it. Through it all I maintained an optimistic spirit. My son was born on November 10th with no complications thanks to all of the hard work from the doctors and nurses. In the future I plan on getting a kidney transplant.
