Hi my name is Cynthia, I am 59 years old. I became very ill. One day I wasn’t feeling well but went to work anyway and tried make it until the end of the day. When it was time to leave work, I was really weak and felt I couldn’t make it to my car to drive home. I managed to walk over to one of my coworker desks to see if he could help me. He was so kind and willing to help as he knew I had not been feeling well and had been going back and forth to doctors.
That night I still didn’t feel very well and told my daughter that I was going to try to see the doctor which I had already had an appointment with that day. When I arrived and saw the doctor he said that I needed to go straight to emergency room. I was admitted into hospital in Florence and I stayed there for 3 days. The cardiologist said that I need to go to MUSC in Charleston.
I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. I went in the hospital weighing 195 lbs and when I came home after staying in the hospital, I weighed 136 lbs due to all the fluid built up. I was told then that I will need a heart transplant. I will need to be in the hospital at MUSC for approximately 3 months.
My family and I are asking for your help in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with out of pocket expenses, such as copays for medication, insurance premium and deductibles, transportation and parking related cost, lodging and meals as I am required to stay in Charleston after discharge.
I have always been very active and lived a good life in spite of this condition. I am keeping the faith and trusting in God that everything is going to be okay. I would like to be able to go back to work and resume my normal activities. I really could used your help. The total cost is estimated at $5,000. I will have to take a lot of medications for the rest of my life and many of the medications are not covered by health insurance.
Your donations to Hope Help Live can help ease the financial burden of a transplant and allow me to focus on a healthy recovery and a longer life.
Thank you and Please pray for me.
