My Story:

Eight years ago, I received my initial diagnosis of early stage non-alcoholic liver failure. It was just before my daughter’s wedding, and I was having surgery for something else so I could be ready to travel.

I have made it to Texas, my new home for the foreseable future. I’ve only been here for five days, but my experiences so far have been good. I’ve not met a rude person yet… everyone has been so friendly and helpful!

I miss home, but if I have to be near a good hospital, I’m glad it’s this one. I’m lucky… my youngest daughter lives about 20 minutes, by train, from the hospital, Baylor-St. Luke’s. She has lived here now for about six years, and I have missed her so much! So it will be nice catching up with her.

I want to thank you all, again, for your support. It means so much to me to know that so many care!

I love you all!

I want to thank everyone who has donated. Because of your generosity, I am only $335 away from my first goal. There are so many things that must be taken care of before my transplant can take place; and the stress I was experiencing over the financial aspect is starting to melt away.

Again, thank you all for your financial generosity… and, even more importantly, your prayers and love. I love you all, too.
