Family and friends of Ronald Horecka are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

Ronald has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

This has to be the hardest part... asking for help...

Ron Horecka, aka Hondo or Captain Ron, was diagnosed with Liver Disease summer 2019. He chose to live and has been fighting the hard fight this past year to make positive transformations in his life. In May, he was approved by insurance to move forward for testing to see if he will qualify for a Liver Transplant. Unfortunately before initial testing began in Aug 2020, Ron was let go by his employer of 11 years in July and has not be able to find steady employment with benefits as of yet. We now have the expense of COBRA so we can move forward through this process as he must have insurance to qualify for a transplant plus are other expenses such as deductibles, co-pays, etc. We have lost our security and are now struggling hard financially. We also understand everyone is fighting their own battles in these chaotic times. Many have lost their jobs as well. If you find yourself able to help in any way, we are very grateful. We hope you will continue to follow and support us on our journey.

Ron chose to partner with Hope Health Live to help with medical bills. In turn, we must gather friends and family to help with fundraising. Hope Health Live is a great option for our business owner friends as each donation can be a tax write off to a charitable donation. Just a reminder 5% goes directly to the organization and the remainder goes in to the local pool to help all in need in the local area, including Ron. Thank you again for taking the time to consider this worthy cause.
