Dear Family, friends and community.
Hello I am Thomas, but most people know me by Mike. I was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease ( PKD). I have been in stages 3 & 4 for abut five years now and have not been able to work full time due to the physical demands on my body. I am now in ESRD and depend on dialysis five days a week. My wife and I trained for home hemodialysis that I now do at home. 2020 has been a difficult year for the the world, but through it all in July of this year I was blessed with a live donor match in the mist of everything…Dios es bueno. The date was just recently finalized for October 28th in Aurora, Colorado. I will need to stay for 6-8 weeks post surgery for recovery and weekly doctor visits. My family and I live in Montana so my wife and I will need to relocate for that time, as well to maintain the home front with our children, animals, ect. We have insurance, but there are so may other factors adding up. Traveling , lodging, premiums, living donor expenses, medications and so much others. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me via phone or a pm. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you could forward this on would be wonderful ! Much Thanks, The Hardy family
