Twenty years ago Kathy began to experience heart failure. Kathy kept on. Kathy has kept on being a loving wife and mother. Kathy has kept working as a pediatric nurse. Kathy has kept on teaching Sunday School and ushering at her church. Kathy has kept on being a kind, loving and giving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Kathy has kept on writing poetry. Kathy has kept on being Kathy.
Despite all of this keeping on, she needs your help. The time has come that medical experts have placed Kathy on the heart transplant list. The cost of a heart transplant is daunting. Overwhelming. Stressful. And financially draining.
Donations to the non-profit organization Help Hope Live will assist with the abundance of critical expenses that immediately follow transplant surgery. These expense include a minimum of a 30-day stay at the transplant center. The cost of medications post transplant may be close to $10,000 a month.
Kathy is a hard worker who has dedicated her career to the care of the most vulnerable, sick children. Now she needs your help. She has health insurance but it will not cover many of the expenses associated with heart transplant. So please open your heart and make a donation to Help Hope Live. Your donation will help Kathy to continue keeping on.
Family and friends of Katherine Boyd are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Katherine has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Hello Katherine, My name is Ken Lovely. I represent a charity that helps people like you pay their transplant related medical expenses. Last week we lost the founder and president of our foundation. She was also my wife, mother of 3 and grandmother of 7. She was a donor family who also received two separate lung transplants. Through all of her troubles struggling to breathe, somehow she always found the strength to help others with their own transplant issues, both financial and post transplant issues. Her legacy lives on through our foundation; Transplant Alliance Foundation. Please accept this gift. the only thing we ask in return is you honor your donor. Live your life to the fullest and tell your story of how transplantation works. Stay healthy and always remember someone you will never meet said yes to organ donation.
