Makenzie is an 8 year old girl with Cerebral Palsy. She has been struggling with mobility and everyday tasks due to her brain injury. We hope to help her gain more function and improve brain connectivity by using her sibling’s cord blood. Makenzie is a smart and funny girl, who just happens to have CP. She lights up the room and will put a smile on your face the moment you meet her. She works so hard and loves meeting new people and connecting with others.
Donations will allow Makenzie to receive the cord blood infusion at Duke University. This procedure is not covered by insurance, so all funds will be used to pay for the infusion and allow our family to travel to Duke University. Your donation will allow Makenzie to receive a potentially life-altering procedure. Allowing her to improve her functional mobility and cognitive abilities would make a huge impact for her and for our family.
Family and friends of Makenzie Blake are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Illness.
Makenzie has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
