My mother Jo-Ann needs your help desperately.

My mother Jo-Ann has been fighting Pulmonary Cystic Fibrosis; for more than a year now, and at the end of August 2020 she underwent a double lung transplant. My family, my wife and I (Jo-Ann’s son Tom and daughter in-law Kim, J0-Anns partner Frank, granddaughters, nieces, and nephews) are asking for your help, and to join us in fundraising for the non profit Help Hope Live to help with the immediate medical expenses that Jo-Ann needs to have to survive. We just found out that her medical Insurance does not cover the following – most of her immediate after care therapy expenses in which just for a required minimum stay of 4 weeks at the therapy center is $10,000.00 out of pocket, in addition to the required travel expenses to her doctor’s visits which are a 4 hour drive one way, medical needs, a home care person that is needed to be with her 24/7, expenses of medical equipment, and most of her anti rejection medications that she has to have for the rest of her life to survive.

Well Mom is going through some more procedures today; which consist of the doctors going down moms throat into her stomach with a camera to check the feeding drainage tube, because they think that the drainage tube may have slipped out of mom’s stomach, the second thing they are going to do is put a vac pack on the drainage for the fluid in moms chest area kinda like what she has on her sore on her lower back side, and the third thing they are going to do is take a biopsy of the sore on moms lower back side, because that is where they think mom is getting the bacteria infections from now, and they are going to clean the sore at the same time. This is all I have for any new information for now. I will be going down tomorrow (Friday) to visit with mom, and try to talk to the doctors while I am there to try to get some more information, and if there is anything new about mom I will post another update about it on Saturday.
