I am currently 32 years old, and am living with stage 4 emphysema, copd, as well as severe asthma. I’m on the path of getting a double transplant and I’m in great need of donations.
I’m not one to ask for money, all of this is very humbling, but I am advised to do fundraising to offset the expenses that comes with a double lung transplant.
Any amount given will offset the expenses I am faced when it comes to the transplant, and no amount given will be considered inadequate. I’m forever grateful for all the donations.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely
Justin D Phillips

Today we received a call that Duke hospital want us to relocate from our home In Lenoir NC to Durham where the hospital is ... with that comes a lot of emotions excitement, relief & a wide range of concerns. The expenses of relocation, the concern of the many risks of double lung transplant. But at this juncture the risk of not moving forward is greater. Also what price outweighs the life of your child even if he’s 31 he’s still my baby ❤️. The Duke financial councilor said some people mortgage their home if they can’t raise the fund but they like funds in place enough for at least 6 months lodging before they will move forward. So far we raised 3000 & I think the financial counselor set our goal at 17,000.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support
Justin had all day appts at Duke on Tuesday and the Transplant Dr. said she is going to recommend to the team it’s time to relocate to Durham. I have been looking for lodging in Durham & they said plan for up to a year so I believe that is going to be the largest expense we are going to face.
With that news from the Dr comes a wide range of emotions relief, excitement, fear & anticipation ... but he has had a a very rough several months so in my he’s I know we must move forward.
