Family and friends of Ron House are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. Ron is a 39 year old married father of one that was diagnosed with Alport Syndrome, a hereditary genetic disorder that can lead to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), decrease or loss of hearing, decrease or loss of vision, and End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF). He began treatment at Medical University of South Carolina in 2004 with medication and diet changes with the aim of slowing the progression of the disorder. However, his symptoms accelerated into ESRF and he was doing peritoneal dialysis.

Ron had a successful transplant on June 21, 2014!

Staples have been removed, and all seems to be going quite well with the new kidney!

Also, I was asked to be in a medical trial for a CMV vaccine. CMV is a virus that can cause transplants to reject. Let's hope the trial proves beneficial!

We start 14 days of straight clinic visits, blood and urine testing each day, medicine adjustments, and visits with Docs, Dieticians, Social Workers, and Nurses all morning and afternoon and nights.

Your donations help make it possible! No such thing as too little. Every dollar is a big helping hand we didn't have before.
