Family and friends of Latharon Miley are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Latharon is a faithful servant of Jesus and a loving and devoted father. Latharon is in need of a kidney transplant. Even with insurance Latharan will need significant financial assistance to afford a kidney transplant including copays, deductibles, travel expenses to and from the transplant center, and costly immunosuppressant medications needed after surgery. Latharon is also raising money so that his daughter can travel to Texas from Florida and provide care for him after surgery. His daughter will be out of work 6 or more weeks in order to be of assistance to her father.
Since being diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease, Latharon says that he misses working the most. Latharon was an over the road truck driver for years. He is the proud father to his daughter, Dione, who resides in Florida. He enjoys talking with his daughter on the phone and is most proud of her musical talents. Latharon serves his community at Northside Church of Christ through their Pancakes and Prayers Meeting that they hold twice a month. Latharon stated that his sister shared Psalm 121 with him and it saved his life. Latharon would love to one day take a cruise.
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore” Psalm 121
