During the afternoon of April 16th, Easter Sunday, Full-Time Pompano Beach Lifeguard EMT, State Certified Fire Fighter. Erick Hoyos had a terrible accident while swimming at Lake Ida in Delray Beach, Florida. Upon diving into the water at the shore’s edge, Erick ruptured the fourth cervical disc in his spinal column, resulting in his paralysis. He underwent surgery on Monday, but his condition has not improved. At 12:30 PM Tuesday, he received word that he will be permanently paralyzed in both his arms and legs.

Family and friends of Eric Hoyos are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with catastrophic injury.

2016 wow! Now living with paralysis for the past 10 years, I face many challenges ahead. With self-motivation and the generosity of donors, I am able to raise funds for around-the-clock care. Thank you for your generosity. Stay healthy and have a prosperous year to come, blessings to all.

The year 2014 is fast coming to a close. In retrospect 2014 was somewhat of a difficult year. I spent many months in the hospital, fighting off urinary tract infections, bladder surgery, and lost 50% of kidney function. Yet all is not lost.This year. I am taking on a new challenge, along with the Department of vocational rehab and the help of, Jeff Daniels, and, Regina Boston, Credit Scores Rescue is on track to becoming a reality. Credit Scores Rescue is my home-based business with the intent to help buildI better credit scores for individuals with poor or slow paying credit. This has been a dream of mine for several years. It is a small yet effective way to give back to a community that given so much to me. I wish you all a happy holiday season and a prosperous new year! Thank you all so very much for your support and your prayers. Remember every little bit counts whether it's a dime or a generous sum of money it all helps with living expenses, caregivers, and so many other needs.
