I will be 33 in March! I have a 7 year old son. I’m a single mother. I’ve been on dialysis for almost 5.5 years. Due to high blood pressure for approximately 2/3 of my pregnancies. My high blood pressure was untreated for almost 2 years after my youngest son was born. And that killed my kidneys. I have been in one coma due to lack of consistent treatments. I have tried 3 times to be added to the transplant list and was denied! I have finally got accepted after the 4th try and I am awaiting to get a transplant. But as some of you may know, expenses after transplant are not cheap. An average time span on dialysis is 10 years and sometimes longer. I have already spent half of that time on dialysis. I’m not asking for much. I’m usually not the type of person to ask for help, but I want to live a more normal life. If you can’t help, please at least share! Thank you in advance!
Family and friends of Amber Mason are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
