Daniel’s long battle with liver disease has come to a critical point.
Our son is now in liver failure and needs a transplant to survive. We.re asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with critical expenses Daniel will face immediately after surgery, including the cost of lodging near the transplant center where he is required to stay for a minimum of 30 days following his discharge.
Daniel has always lived a positive life despite his chronic health condition. He has never let health challenges get in the way of achieving his dreams- from going to school and working towards his dreams to having a faith in God to pull him through. Daniel’s positive attitude and lifestyle helped him avoid the inevitable for a long time, but now his liver is only nominally functioning, and needs our help.
While Daniel has health insurance, many transplant expenses are surprisingly not covered, such as the monthly anti-rejection medications he needs to take for the life of his new liver. Daniel has been told to anticipate upwards of $5,000 per month just for medications alone.
Donations to Help Hope Live can help ease the financial burden of a transplant and allow Daniel to focus on a healthy recovery and a long life ahead with his family and friends.
