Gabrielle on her birthday was thrown off an ATV where she was a passenger on the back of a bike. Gabrielle has broken her C6 neck vertebrae. She was Admitted to Grady Memorial Hospital where she had her surgery. Gabrielle remained at Grady for one month. Gabrielle then transition to a rehab facility Shepherd Center in Atlanta Georgia. Gabrielle then left Sheperd after nine months and went to Emory rehabilitation. As a total Gabrielle has been in the hospital for 10 months. Gabrielle suffered a C6 complete spinal cord injury which she is paralyzed from the neck down. Gabrielle has had a total of six emergency surgeries under anesthesia She is Unable to walk, feed herself, or bathe herself.
Gabrielle has medical bills in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and she has had no support or anybody to help her. She is raising money to cover her medical expenses, caregiving and help rebuilding her life.
Family and friends of Gabrielle Hodges are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Injury.
