Rene Garza is a 40-year-old, father, and husband. Rene lost his kidneys to Immunoglobulin A Nephropathy, IgAN for short, or Berger’s disease and is in desperate need for a kidney donor to continue living. His disease was discovered when he was 33 and was in the hospital for a transient ischemic attack, he has also had a heart attack when he was 38 but kept working. He previously worked hard in various Engineering technician roles and is a very independent individual. Recently he has become unable to work due to his condition. He is now 1 year on Peritoneal dialysis and changing soon over to Hemodialysis. He is currently listed on a kidney transplant list.
Family and friends of Rene Garza Jr. are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
