Hello my name is Alfredo, my friends and family call me Freddy.

I am a husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2002. The diabetes led to retinopathy in 2017 which caused me to lose sight in both eyes. At that point I was no longer able to return to work and had to file for disability. Soon after I had laser corrective surgery done which thankfully worked. My eyesight was still not great, but the improvement was significant.

In April of this year, I was finally able to have my cataract surgery and am now able to see very well. Praise and glory to God! Due to the diabetes in 2018, I was diagnosed with stage 4 renal failure. In 2019 I started my dialysis doing nightly treatments at home. Shortly after I began my journey of completing all the necessary requirements to be added on the kidney/pancreas transplant list, some of which include several tests, shots, exams with specialists, as well as any necessary dental work, and fundraising. One of the requirements is to have a certain amount of funds set aside for after the transplant that will cover any costs not covered by insurance as well as any unforeseen expenses. I am halfway there and am needing to raise $5000 to complete all requirements and be added to the list. To be able to have this transplant would be a new lease on life. I have always been a hard-working individual who had only relied on myself. I have worked 15+ years in the oil field. This experience has definitely humbled me as I am not used to asking for help. However here I am and am asking now, if you can donate any amount at all. Big or small, it all counts towards the goal. I pray for a second chance at life. Can you please help me?
