He has lived with diabetes since the age of twelve and has now reached a critical point in his kidney function and is in need of a transplant. Zach is a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. Zach is also a well liked elementary teacher in the Altoona community. Funds raised will help offset medical expenses not covered by insurance like co-pays, medications, and travel for treatment which will allow him to focus on his recovery post transplant.
Family and friends of Zach Noel are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Zach has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Thank you for your support!
On Friday December 3, 2021, Zach underwent transplant surgery from his Living donor- his sister. Both are recovering well. His sister has been discharged to recover from home. The kidney took immediately and is functioning as it should. We want to thank everyone for their prayers, donations, and well wishes.
We are happy to report that Zach's sister is a match and is donating her kidney. We are so thankful for her selflessness and donating life! Transplant surgery is scheduled for early December. We are all so thankful for your support to help with relocation and travel expenses that will be paid through this campaign.
Thanks again!
We are very thankful for all donations coming in!
We are currently waiting for some more confirmations/testing from a living donor. We hope to know more in October.
Zach is in school teaching currently and that is where he loves to be...with his students.
Funds raised will help with relocation as he and a caregiver will be required to live near transplant center post transplant. Funds will also help the living donor with their out-of-pocket medical related expenses including relocation for their stay post transplant. The donor will also be required to stay for a time near the transplant center.
Next visit to transplant center is slated for October for further testing and check ups.
Again, Thank you for your support!
Thank you to all who came out in support of Zach on this past Saturday. We had a successful event and we are overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the donations and help!

We visited Pittsburgh yesterday for orientation with the transplant hospital. We have some more tests to complete before meeting with the board who approves Zach for transplant but it was an informative meeting to help us prepare. July 31st - Come out and have some fun for a bummer situation! Help us raise some money for Zach's transplant costs and donor medical expenses. Party with Cora and watch Zach lose at cornhole!
As always, we are humbled and thankful for your support!
Thank you for all the love and support you have given! We have been seeing doctors and setting a plan in action! Sign up for some fun with the fundraiser we are having this summer for him!
