Fifteen years ago Ilija was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy (an autoimmune disease). It was fine for a long time, but in the last year his kidneys have been ravaged by this disease. It has made everything harder. He has so little energy, cannot do any of his favorite activities, and has a harder time thinking. He is on home dialysis, but that has been really hard. The doctor just keeps saying “hurry and get a transplant!” It is officially time for a transplant!

The Best News EVER! Ilija got his transplant! Tomorrow it will be one week. What a crazy, whirlwind, miraculous experience it has been. We are so grateful for your continued support. :)

We are officially approved for transplant. But we are waiting on the testing of donors right now. We have no way of knowing if we will be getting the transplant in two months or 2 years! This is just a way to prepare ahead of time. I don't want to be fundraising while we are there. We will know 4-5 weeks ahead of the surgery hopefully. We will let you all know through an update here and on social media when it is go time. Thank you again!
