On December 2018, John started using the wheelchair because of the weakness of his legs which was wrongly diagnosed as neuropathy. By June 2019 we seek another medical opinion and the neurologist diagnosed that he has CIDP, a neurological autoimmune disorder weakening his arms and legs. He is totally disabled and his wife has to to work part-time to look after him. He is fully dependent to his wife for feeding, bathing etc. Prior to his illness, John was working as an ICU nurse for 20 years and had decided to quit when he started feeling the weakness in his hands. Currently, he is doing his regular exercise physiotherapy every week which is not covered by the insurance. He is determined to get well again. He never lost hope to fully recover.
Generous donations from Hope Help Live can help ease the financial burden we’re facing as a family and give John the chance to live his life as fully as possible.

Family and friends of John Jeffers are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Illness.
