After exhausting all treatment, Sam had to be put on the transplant list. During radiation treatment, he managed to get his social work degree, and plans on working in that field and helping others. Many times his professors would have to tell him to go home, because he was so sick. He graduated with honors and got his degree. Even with insurance, the cost of a transplant is enormous. All funds will go to Help Hope and Live. Donations will only be used for the transplant cost, relocation to Little Rock for a month, as he has to be near the hospital. Life long medications that will be out of pocket. Any money left over after his expenses will go to help other transplant patients. UAMS has been such a blessing, and now Jonesboro has a transplant center that will help others stay in their hometown. Family and friends of Samuel O’Neal are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

Samuel has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
