Jennifer was born with five congenital heart defects. We were told at birth they didn’t know why she was alive or how long she would live. She was inoperable. Through a miracle they operated on her. She had four surgeries by the time she was 33 months old.
Her childhood surgeries left her with half of a heart. The surgeries that saved her are now killing her. She needs a dual heart and liver transplant.
Jennifer grew up and became a pediatric cardiac ICU nurse, nurturing and caring for children born just like her. After 7 years, Jennifer had to give up her dream of working in the ICU. She was experiencing severe fatigue, arrhythmias, as well as numerous hospitalizations.
Her doctors have decided it is time for transplant. Because of her complex condition we find ourselves having to leave Maryland and temporarily move to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN for her transplants and follow up care.
Funds donated will provide for medical and living expenses. We will provide milestone up dates as they become available. Thank you for your support.

Officially approved for both heart and liver transplants. Our next steps is finding a place in Nashville that is within an hour of the hospital, that is affordable, and will meet our needs. Your donations go directly to medical and living expenses and are greatly appreciated in our families time of need.
