Ally’s unexpected battle with a rare liver disease has come to critical point. My daughter is in liver failure and is in need of a liver transplant to survive. She will need help with critical expenses she will face immediately.
Ally has always lived a positive productive life despite her unexpected chronic health condition. She has never let her health challenges get in the way of helping and caring for others.
Health insurance will not cover all transplant expenses such as monthly anti-rejection medications. She will need these for the rest of her life, and can be upwards of $5000 to $7000
per month. Just for medications alone.
Donations to Help Hope Live can help ease the financial burden of a liver transplant to allow Ally to focus on a healthy recovery and long life with her friends and family.
.
Family and friends of Ally Beckstead are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Ally has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

The past few months has been hectic for Ally, she has been exhausted from all the Doctor appointments, and blood draws. For 2months her blood was really thin which made her MELD score go from 16 to 24.her blood thickness is now back to normal but her bilirubin is now 3.3 and her MELD is still 24. She is now in second place on the Uno list
Ally has Budd-chiari syndrome.
Budd-Chiari syndrome is a condition in which the hepatic veins (veins that drain the liver) are blocked or narrowed by a clot (mass of blood cells). This blockage causes blood to back up into the liver, and as a result, the liver grows larger. The spleen (an organ located on the upper left side of the abdomen that helps fight infection by filtering the blood) may also grow larger.
congestive hepatopathy caused by blockage of hepatic veins. This syndrome occurs in 1/100 000 in the general population
Budd-Chiari Syndrome may also cause other conditions, including:
Portal hypertension (increased pressure in the portal vein, which carries blood from the intestines to the liver).
Esophageal varices (twisted veins in the esophagus, or “food tube”).
Ascites (a buildup of fluid in the abdomen).
Cirrhosis (scarring of the liver).
.Varicose veins (abnormal, swollen blood vessels) in the abdomen and/or rectum.
