Dinah McCreedie Needs a Double Lung Transplant
In November of 2019 Dinah McCreedie was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). IPF is a disease with no known cause, no cure and no treatment other than a double lung transplant. Initially, there was no way to know what was in store. Sometimes people live for many years after receiving an IPF diagnosis. Sometimes people only live for many months with IPF. Dinah went through the first year with IPF with minimal difficulty but around January of 2021 the disease started to progress very rapidly.

Dinah went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 26. We know that she is no longer suffering and with our Heavenly Father now. We will keep this fundraising page available for a while as there are still expenses that have accumulated and continued expenses as we work through the arrangements to celebrate her life. Thank you all for your generosity and prayers!

Update from John: The transplant team at UIHC met on Monday morning and has decided NOT to place Dinah on the transplant list as yet. There are still a few things that need to be in place before she can undergo such a large surgery. The plan is to evaluate her every Monday, with the hope that she can be placed on the list soon. As always, we would covet everyone’s prayers that the Lord will sustain Dinah during this time of ongoing evaluation.
