As of November 11th, I am temporarily suspended on the transplant list. Until we can get my blood counts (red blood cells, white blood cells, iron, and platelets) back up it would not be safe to transplant me for fear of infection risk.

As of July 26, 2021, I am officially on the waitlist for a double lung transplant at Penn. Transplant is the latest part of my health journey since being diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension and interstitial lung disease in 2017.

Help Hope Live helps transplant patients tackle the many medical expenses not covered by insurance. Following my transplant, I expect to be an inpatient at Penn for one month. I also plan to reside in temporary housing near Penn for up to 3 months after I am discharged from the hospital - this will allow me to visit Penn a minimum of 3 days per week for rehab and routine testing. Help Hope Live can help me cover the costs associated with temporarily relocating close to Penn.

You are in my prayers. God has blessed you with a very positive spirit which is so necessary for a successful transplant. Pray that the call comes soon.
