Hello, I’m Jill and I have end-stage renal disease due to type 1 diabetes. I have been waiting for a kidney through J.C. Walter, Jr Transplant Center in Houston,
TX since 2014. I do hemodialysis treatments 4 times a week as I have no kidney function and must continue this routine until I receive a transplant. There are many expenses involved with my after-transplant care and I need the funds available to move forward with a transplant.
I have called Cypress, Texas my home for 27 years now and lived in the Midwest and Western United States prior to finding my home here. I enjoy my career as a medical language specialist and work from my home office. I love spending time caring for my dogs and my home. I enjoy learning how to do new crafts and making my famous candied apples for friends and neighbors at the holidays. A perfect trip for me would be driving through Texas discovering historical sites along the roadside, seeing fields of horses near ragged barns, and stopping to visit a local antique shop to visit with the shop owner to learn about the treasures inside. God has led me to Harvest Bible Church where my faith grows, and where leaders teach principles of the Bible. I enjoy the fellowship in this community of believers. God has humbled me through discipline and love during this experience. It has not always been easy to maintain a cheerful outlook, but I have learned everything is better when I do, and I work at it every day.
Your donations are needed for after-transplant care and expenses. A caregiver must be with me 24/7 for 6 weeks after transplant for home care and to take me on a 60-mile round trip each day to Houston Methodist Downtown Hospital for medications and lab work. The necessary anti-rejection drugs are expensive and required to stay healthy. I have normal living expenses and will not be able to work for at least 6 weeks after the surgery.
I must have a dedicated caregiver in place for me to remain on the active transplant list so I can have surgery once matched to a donated kidney. I am considered “inactive” on the list at this time as these caregiver funds are not yet available, and I need finances so my caregiver can take the necessary time off from their job to care for me.
Your tax-deductible donations through Help Hope Live will help ease these financial burdens and will allow me to stay on the transplant list. You can be part of the miraculous process of the gift of life and my healthy recovery through your donations and prayers.
Family and friends of Jill Robinson are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Jill has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Donate button.

Thank you for your support!
I went in for a local procedure on my dialysis graft today to fix it as I had a bit of an emergency during dialysis on Saturday. I have this procedure every 2-3 months, though not usually emergency. It's done under local anesthesia and I've always been fine as long as someone drives me home. Today I fell in deep sleep during procedure and had to be held up to get to car. I fell asleep once home and very sick today
I want to thank everyone for donations on Giving Tuesday 2021. :) Once again, I am so thankful for the generosity and love from friends and family both near and far as we enter the Christmas season when we celebrate and remember the most precious gift God gave to the world. ❤
Happy Thanksgiving to my friends and extended family. I hope today brings you joyful memories with your loved ones. I'm getting in an early dialysis treatment today while watching the parade. We've got cooler fall temps and some rain here in Texas today, and the smell of smoking turkey outside. Fall is definitely my favorite season. :)
I want to tell you all how thankful I am and in awe of your generosity! I have a day off dialysis today and that's always a good day. :) I bathed my dogs and pampered them with some play time. They stay with me in my dialysis room and usually nap while I do treatment and I feel guilty going right to work in my office right after, but not today. I spent the morning giving them some extra love like they give me. I spoke to my transplant coordinator and he wants me to come in December for some more heart tests. They put me through a series of tests periodically to make sure I'm in tip-top shape when the time comes. I am definitely emotionally ready. I will keep you all updated and hope you have a great weekend!
I am feeling so blessed by the supportive comments and kind donations that have been made to my campaign already. Thank you all. You really are part of this miracle. I am in the process of planning a raffle event and hope to have more information soon. Please sign my guest book to let me know you were here, even to donate a prayer as this is one thing that keeps me positive and motivated. Love to you all.
