Family and friends of Marta Ramirez are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Marta’s liver transplantation. Marta was diagnosed with liver cancer on March 29, 2021, although this was a shock to everyone she was given the opportunity to become a transplant recipient and was advised by the transplant team that she would be a great candidate. Since then she was placed on the national transplant list, UNOS and is currently waiting for her donor for her liver transplant in Murray, Utah for the last three weeks now since she is #1 on the national donor list. She has to be within a 1 mile radius of Inner Mountain Health Transplant Center in Murray, Utah staying at the local hotel across from the hospital currently waiting for the call that there is a perfect match for her new liver. She is patiently waiting and was advised by her transplant team to be ready for the call at any given moment. Travel expenses are not covered by her medical insurance and she is not sure how long she will need to wait, but she knows her life is being saved and a miracle is on the way. She is very grateful for the opportunity and we all wish her well in her journey of her liver transplant. We will keep this page updated so everyone can cheer her on and send her prayers or give a donation to help with her journey during this very critical, but exciting time for her. We certainly appreciate all of the support during this time. All of the proceeds will go towards her travel housing and post medical expenses up in Utah. The account Help Hope Live has setup for her is strictly for the reimbursements for her surgery and medical expenses only.

Marta has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

My older sister has been blessed to get her new liver. Unfortunately, expenses still are adding up. Please please help however you can during her recovery.
