I’m in desperate need of help getting a few things that would improve my quality of life.
Please bare with me because I’m going to start from the beginning.
My first wife was abusive. One night in 1994, she pushed me down the stairs. That caused me knee problems.
I ended up having to get an arthroscope done to clean out the torn cartilage at the age of 22. That wasn’t enough. Since then, I have had seven total knee replacements and two revisions.
Soon after I had my last knee replacement, I met my wife Ashley.
It wasn’t long before my knee was giving me unbearable pain once again. But, this visit…..this doctor visit was the worst.
I had developed staff, sepsis and MRSA in my bone. So the decision I had to make was my leg or my life. I put the amputation off for over a year until I couldn’t ignore the pain anymore.
That was the worst surgery of my life!! I didn’t know if I was seeing my wife for the last time. I held onto her so tightly until they made me let go. That was over 2 years ago.
After my amputation, I had my staples removed. The VERY NEXT DAY, I fell and landed directly on my stump causing it to rip open. I was then given a wound vac for several several months!
Thankfully my stump is completely healed.
However, I’m trapped in our home. All I have is a walker. The only way I can leave the house is scooting around on my butt. I’ll get in the floor, scoot out of the house onto the porch and down the steps. I have to come in the same way.
So if it’s been raining, I’ll be completely wet.
My wife does so much for me. She helps me get everything done. She’ll help me get dressed, put my sock and shoe on. Not to mention everything else she does. I’m not able to help her with basic things. I can’t haul in groceries. I can’t pump gas. But, I do as much in the house that I can with just a walker.
I am asking for your generosity to help make my life better.
I’m in need of a lightweight foldable electric wheelchair that would support my weight of 325. I need a whole new ramp and porch built. And, we’re praying for a handicap accessible vehicle that I can just roll myself in with my wheelchair.
Please open your hearts to mine and my wife’s situation. We are both on disability and once we pay the bills, there is NOTHING left.
Please be praying for us!! God bless you!!
