My name is Wendy Ornelas (Seese). My support system includes 2 beautiful daughters, 4 sisters and their families and my mom and stepfather who are the world to me. I continue to fight this battle so I can be around for my family. I want to see my children grow and be a part of their lives. Please, help me fight this battle!
I have been ill since I was 4 years old with Type 1 Diabetes and started losing my kidneys at age of 19. In 2010, at the age of 32, I ended up on dialysis and by the age of 36 I had my first kidney transplant, and we were hopeful. Unfortunately, my body rejected the kidney 3 years ago I have been on dialysis ever since.
I continue to have problems that make it impossible for me to be involved with my daughters lives and interests. I am unable to go to school functions or travel to my family’s homes to visit. At this point in my life, I only have access to my right thigh for them to do dialysis. If I lose this access, I won’t be able to do dialysis anymore.
I am in need of financial help for myself and my caregiver (mom) for housing, food and gas for the 6 weeks that we will need to be in Seattle when the call comes in that they have a kidney for me. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
