Hi everyone! 9 months ago, my dad was finally matched with a suitable donor and he underwent a double lung transplant surgery. It's been a long journey since then for all of us. I am happy to give everyone an update that he has been doing great post-op. We continue to give thanks to everyone who has kept him and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
My family and I continue to fundraise money through Help Hope Live to help with the medical expenses associated with the surgery that he had. We thank everyone who has taken the time to share his story, share this campaign page, and who has already donated!

Hello everyone! It has been some time since we’ve posted an update on my dad. First and foremost, we’d like to thank everyone who has taken the time to share my dad’s campaign page and thank those who have donated. I especially want to thank everyone who has continuously been checking in with me, my dad, and my family during this whole process. We are so thankful to have so much support during the good and the tough times.
At the beginning of the year, my dad was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). In February of 2022, he was put on oxygen which he has had to wear 24/7 to be able to complete everyday tasks. In March of 2022, he was officially put on the lung transplant waitlist. There is no cure for IPF and the only way that my dad will be able to extend his life will be by receiving a lung transplant.
I am excited that he has been matched with a suitable donor! My dad is already at the hospital getting ready for his transplant surgery. My mom, brother and I are here with him. At this time, we ask everyone to keep him in your prayers.
We also ask everyone to keep sharing his campaign page so we can continue to raise funds. A lung transplant procedure will be lifesaving for my dad but the medical cost associated with the lung transplant surgery is overwhelming. My family and I are still fundraising money through Help Hope Live to help with the medical expenses associated with the surgery that he needs. Queridos hermanos, primos, y amigos. Quiero pedirles perdón si alguna vez en mi juventud los ofendí por mi manera de hablar o de actuar. Por favor perdónenme. Tal ves en el momento no valoraba las amistades o tal vez por ignorante perdón.

Hoy es Julio 28 y mi salud empeora. Sigo en la lista de espera de trasplante y no sabemos por canto tiempo más estaré esperando. Tal ves un día, un mes, no se sabe. Les pido que me mantengan en sus oraciones. Yo le pido a Dios que haga su voluntad, estoy listo para todo lo que pueda suceder.

We had the chance to celebrate Angel's 52nd birthday this past weekend. We thank god for giving him another year of life & we pray that he has many more to come.
It’s been a week since we started our fundraising journey & we honestly feel so supported. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out, shared Angel's fundraising page & has already sent in donations!
