Patrick had a stroke in utero and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 10 months. As a result, he has always faced motor challenges that affect his ability to walk and use his left hand. Since his diagnosis, Patrick has undergone multiple surgeries designed to improve his vision and mobility. Patrick is an optimistic, hard-working, and determined young man who has always been dedicated to achieving to his fullest potential.
In addition to his progress in physical and occupational therapy, Patrick requires assistive devices like leg and hand braces and other adaptive equipment to perform daily tasks at his best. Thanks to Help Hope Live and the Flyers Alumni, Patrick was gifted with an adaptive bicycle to allow him to experience fun and exercise that he would not otherwise be able to enjoy. As Patrick continues to grow, he will require additional adaptive equipment to enable him to participate in activities which typically developing boys and girls enjoy. He will also need ongoing physical therapy to ensure that the motor gains he has made through therapy and surgery will not diminish.
We appreciate your donation to Help Hope Live in Patrick’s honor.
