Zoë is 12 years old. She’s in 7th grade. She’s was born with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, a chromosomal deletion, Lennox Gastuat epilepsy, dysphagia, asthma, and restrictive lung disease. Her primary diagnosis is Cerebral Palsy, which is a group of disorders that affects many important functions such as body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle tone, reflex, posture and balance. It can also impact fine motor skills, gross motor skills and oral motor functioning. Zoë needs around the clock care, as well as assistance with completing all tasks.
Although Zoë is non-verbal, she is a very communicative and bubbly, loving daughter and sister. She brings us constant joy and brightens up our lives with her beautiful smile. Zoë loves music, bubbles, listening to audiobooks, and hanging out with her siblings. She also enjoys attending school and making friends. She’s a wonderful burst of positive energy. She is a fearless Cerebral Palsy warrior & the embodiment of strength. She’s taught our family so much about hope and perseverance. No matter what life throws at her she meets it with a bright smile & determination. She leaves everyone she meets with a warm feeling & that wonderful smile.
Zoë’s family wants her to stay active, well, safe, and be a part of her community. Since there’s no specific treatment or cure for CP, Zoë needs daily physical, occupational, feeding, and speech therapy, along with weekly appointments with her numerous specialty doctors. We are also aware of the future barriers she will face as an adult and are already planning for her future. We are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of Zoë in order to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with Cerebral Palsy.
If you are able, please consider supporting Zoë and her family as they cope with financial challenges. Your contribution will help cover the associated costs of daily care and therapy she need. She and her family will be forever grateful.
We have chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live because the organization assures fiscal accountability for funds raised. You can be sure your donation will be used to pay or reimburse medical and care-related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to support Zoë’s care (by credit or debit card), simply click the Give button. If you prefer to donate by check, instructions are on the left side of the page under Mail a Check.
