Thanks for your solidarity! I am Carlos Pardo. I am 55 years old, an enthusiastic musician and an eternal lover of life. I live in Miami FL with my beloved wife, Adriana Paramo.

The year that changed the lives of many, changed mine too. On March 11, 2020, I suffered an accident playing tennis, as a result of which I suffered a spinal cord injury at the level of C4 and C5, leaving me a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the shoulders down. I spent 17 days in ICU and 1 month in the Christine E. Rehab Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Although I was fortunate to have the best medical care, the diagnosis was not encouraging. However, I know that with God’s help, discipline, determination and a very good attitude I will be able to fully recover. It’s not easy though, it has been painful and has cost me a lot of time and energy. Physical therapies are expensive and, since I am not independent, nor me or my wife have been able to work to provide for our family and for the therapies. I am committed to a full recover, but I am conscious that my initial goal is to become independent so I can also contribute to my recovery. For now I am forever grateful and appreciate all the support and kindness you would like to donate to our cause. I am also grateful to each of the people who have given me their time, their joy, their encouragement and their contribution to travel this path!
