In an incredible turn of events, Nono received a message from fellow Ursuline Academy of Dallas class of 1999 alumnae Megan Nauslar Neitzel a couple of weeks later: “I have the answer for you. I have a kidney for you. And it is a perfect match, and I will be donating it to you.”
Now that she has a donor, Nono needs your help. With an ambitious goal of $30,000, this “Fight for Life” recovery fund will help Nono prepare for her surgery and months of recovery. We’d love for you to join this fight and help Nono get back to living her life to the fullest!
Family and friends of Nono Osuji are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Nono has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
For more information, please contact Help Hope Live at 800.642.8399.
Thank you for your support!
Here is the video I made to ask for a living donor while sharing a bit more about me and my story.

Hello Nona. I am so sorry for your health struggles and am thrilled to know you will be getting a transplant. ‘Invisible’ illness is sometimes harder for people to empathize with. I’m glad you mention that people can’t ‘see’ what’s going on for you medically. Your brother Julien introduced me to you although I’ve never met him in person. I look forward to seeing your scripts get made.

NONA my heart goes out to you. My husband suffered from ESRD and cancer and he stuck it out as long as he could. Much love to you from someone you don’t even know but is thinking about you.
