I’ve Been Discharged! Here’s an Update on My Health July 2025Hello everyone,I’m happy to share that I was recently discharged after a five-day hospital stay. During my admission, I was found to be deficient in several essential supplements and had elevated bilirubin levels. I also experienced a serious flare of my scleroderma, which caused increased shortness of breath and widespread physical pain throughout my body. The medical team performed an echo and a heart catheterization, xrays and administered the necessary supplements via IV( which was very painful). I’m now feeling so much better: my labs are normal, my symptoms have improved, and everything is balanced as it should be.Thank you for the continued thoughts and encouragement I’m on the mend and gaining strength day by day.Sending you all my gratitude and love.

Campaign Update: A Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle is Our Deepest NeedDear friends, supporters, and kind-hearted donors,First, I want to express our deepest gratitude for the love, support, and generous many donations we've received along the way. Each one has helped carry us through some incredibly difficult moments, and we are so thankful.Today, I’m reaching out with an urgent and heartfelt update. We have been without a vehicle since my husband was involved in a devastating multi-car accident , an accident that was no fault of his own. Our car was totaled, and not long after, he lost his job simply because he had no way to get there. We tried to make the best of what we had, but over time, the small funds we received had to be used for basic household needs just to get by. It’s now been three long years, and we are still without a wheelchair accessible vehicle. This continues to make everyday life and especially medical appointments a real struggle. As someone who depends on a wheelchair, supplemental oxygen, and an IV pump, transportation isn’t just a convenience it’s a lifeline. I often need to bring up to six oxygen tanks along with emergency medical supplies to every appointment. Without a proper vehicle, this is not only exhausting but sometimes nearly impossible. On top of all this, I’m currently in the process of seeking approval to be officially listed for a bilateral lung transplant. I’ve been told I’m a strong potential candidate, and two top hospitals Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and University of Chicago Medicine have completed preliminary evaluations that went well and they now want to possibly list me. However, both require urgent relocation so I can be near the hospital as I await transplant, and unfortunately, that comes with major expenses regardless of which hospital my insurance will allow me to have coverage with. While we're also still waiting on insurance approval for out-of-state care, time is of the essence. The medical teams have stressed the need to move forward as soon as possible. That’s why, right now, our main fundraising focus is on getting a wheelchair accessible vehicle and beginning to prepare for the necessary relocation. A vehicle would not only restore our mobility and dignity it would be a vital step toward getting me to the life-saving treatment I need.If you’re able to give or even just share our story, it would mean the world to us. Every act of kindness brings us one step closer to hope and healing on wheels. With heartfelt thanks The Levy's
