Jeffrey is a beloved son, father, brother, and uncle. At age 36, Jeffrey’s lengthy battle with several serious health issues throughout his life has come to a critical point.
As a child, Jeffrey experienced mobility issues and it was later discovered that he had cerebral palsy, a motor disability which affects one’s coordination, posture, and movement. Jeffrey was also diagnosed with pericarditis, resulting in a thin, saclike tissue surrounding his heart. In 2016, Jeffrey suffered a heart attack which served as another catastrophic medical event. Adding to his history of health-related trauma, he was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma cancer in October 2022.
Jeffrey continues to face each day with hope, but he now faces a challenge he cannot meet alone. These medical issues combined have taken a tremendous physical, emotional, and financial toll on Jeffrey and those who love him, most especially his son and his mother who serves as his primary caregiver. He and his family need the help of their immediate and extended community to help lift, encourage, and support them during this tough time.
While Jeffrey has insurance, he is facing many unmet medical needs including hospital costs, co-pays/deductibles, and home health care. He also needs a wheelchair accessible van to safely leave his home to access needed medical care and live as active and independent a life as possible. As you can imagine, the costs associated with Jeffrey’s medical and mobility needs are extreme.
Donations to Help Hope Live can help ease the financial burden associated with Jeffrey’s catastrophic medical conditions and allow him to focus on a healthy recovery and brighter tomorrow.
Family and friends of Jeffrey Darby are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Illness.
Jeffrey has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button. Please consider a donation and please share Jeffrey’s campaign page on your social media platforms.
