Mason was diagnosed with a rare brain deformity called Lissencephaly at four months old.
He would consequently experience 50 to 60 seizures each day. Doctors said Mason would not live past the age of 2. Mason is a warrior and has made incredible strides since we were able to manage his seizure activity effectively. Despite significant developmental progress, many challenges remain.

Mason is nonverbal, unable to sit or stand by himself, and in need of assistive technologies in order to carry out daily life activities. Mason is now seven years old, 80 lbs, and growing. There are numerous requirements for adaptive equipment, etc. We do our best between work and insurance to meet those needs.

However, Mason’s most significant need is for a wheelchair-accessible vehicle large enough for Mason to be changed inside. He will likely be wearing diapers for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, typical changing tables at public facilities are not large enough to accommodate a 4ft 5in, 80lb, and growing 7-year-old. The cost of an Accessible vehicle these days can well exceed $80,000.
