Mobility Goals for Barbara Harper
Campaign update: It is now July of 2025. I am trying to raise funds for a power wheelchair. I fell before my back surgery and tore my rotator cuff. It has started to cause consistent pain. If I can get a power chair it would give my shoulder a little break. Medicare allows a new chair every 5 years and they don’t cover the one that’s light enough to fold up and put in a car. I also need help with the ability to see my physical therapist for massage therapy that is focused specifically on my injury. This is another area that is not covered. I know that I can trust the Lord with this. I am currently being evaluated for a spinal stimulator to help with the pain. I don’t know yet if I qualify. I would appreciate your help and prayers. Any amount will get me closer to my goal. Thank you and God bless!
In May of 2021 I became a paraplegic due to complications during back surgery. My short term goal is to drive and my long term goal is to walk. In order to drive I will need hand controls installed in my vehicle and the training to use them. I am blessed to have amazing friends who have helped me with rides but I need to gain this independence to be able to live a full life and to serve my community. To walk I need to continue the activity based one on one training at a specialized gym that’s helping me strengthen my legs. I have also experienced improvement through acupuncture which is not covered by my medical insurance. Any help would be appreciated and I also covet your prayers.

September 2025I completed the trial for the spinal stimulator. I wore it for a week. Unfortunately I didn’t feel any relief from the pain I experience daily. In fact I felt like it aggravated it. On a good note though I am moving to Idaho with my kids and grandkids. I have not raised enough yet for a power wheelchair but I am not giving up. Thank you to all who have donated. I am blessed.

I’m scheduled for the trial of the spinal stimulator. This will determine if it helps with the chronic pain. I will wear it for one week. Please pray that I will get relief.

I know your needs are greater than this. I am so blessed by the strength you have not by your might but by God’s power and grace. Despite all of your struggles on a daily basis you are still there for those around you and continue to be an encouragement to others.

Father God you know everything that Barbara has gone through and endure, a healing would be beyond joyous, also you know the costs of things, so I ask you open the window of heaven and pour out a physical bless and financial blessings for Barbara, id like to help so make a way for me to be able to help, bring a job for me to be able to help with this need, we thank you Father God for always watching over us as well as providing our needs, we wait to watch you go before us and bring the needed money for her electric chair or actual healing touch
