Thanks be to GOD. Our good and ever loving
God gave me a new kidney last March 1,2025
after waiting for 8 years and 6 months.
My name is Pons Samus, widow living alone here in West Covina, Ca 91792.
By the way after staying at UCLA Ronald Reagan hospital for 5 days I was finally discharged. But it did not end there, there is still my 3 months post kidney recovery.
The reason for this fundraising is to shoulder payment for my Caregiver since I am alone I need a caregiver driving me to my doctors appointment 2x a week for 3months. Also copay I have around 25 medications not to mention gas and mileage I pay to my caregiver.
I pay 20 dollars per hour. And this makes me anxious.

My 2 kidneys have been removed and I get dialysis 3 times a week
My name is Ponciano C. Samus Jr. I am a widow, in my late fifties and a resident of Los Angeles, California. I have no kids and live alone.
I started my dialysis in 2016. My 2 kidneys have been removed and I get dialysis 3 times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
As of this writing per my Doctor's information I am so close to have a kidney transplant soon. For this reason, my post transplant team had already inform me what happen after the transplant. For three months I need a caregiver to assist and support me in my needs and be with me going to the hospital. Since I only depend on my disability income I have no means to finance the huge cost of this post kidney transplantation.
Family and friends of PONCIANO SAMUS JR are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
