Family and friends of Marcus Christie are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Marcus has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Hello Family and Friends,
Marcus received his heart transplant on 2/21/2023. The surgery went very well, and he is recovering well so far! We are beyond happy and relieved that he was able to receive a heart and be doing so well. We are so grateful to the donor and family. Thanks to all of you for your love, support, and prayers in our behalf!

Hello Family and Friends! Marcus and I would like to thank you so much for your prayers, support, and generosity as we have continued to endure this process. As many of you may already know, Marcus will soon be transferred to receive care at the University of Chicago. As you can imagine, this will require adjustments and support for our family. We truly appreciate any and all help that we have received, and no doubt will continue to receive. Our hearts have truly been touched and we have been made to feel so loved. We wish there were bigger words to express our gratitude, but please know we are truly thankful.
