Dear friends, family, and everyone who loves Carole.
With full hearts, we share some incredible news. Carole has received her lung transplant! This life-saving gift is something we have all hoped and prayed for, and we are beyond grateful to the medical team, the selfless donor, and each of you who have been sending love and support along the way.
But as we celebrate this milestone, we also know that Carole’s journey is far from over. The road to recovery is long, and the next few months will be some of the hardest yet. Right now, she needs us more than ever.
Carole must remain close to the transplant hospital for months of intensive follow-ups, monitoring, and emergency care. Unfortunately, this comes with overwhelming expenses—far beyond what insurance covers.
We are rallying together to support her with:
These expenses have now exceeded $24,000 and won’t be covered by insurance. As much as Carole and Liz hate asking for help, they truly need us now.
If you know Carole, you know she’s always the first to help—whether fixing something, supporting a friend, or making us laugh in tough times. Now, she’s facing the fight of her life, and we have the chance to give back.
Whatever you can give—whether it’s a donation, sharing this message, or sending her a note of encouragement—it will mean everything to us. No amount is too small, and every single gesture makes a difference. If you are unable to give, please share the link to Carole’s fundraising page with your community and help us to get the word out.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Carole’s story. Your love and support mean the world to us.
With love and gratitude,
Carole & Liz
Carole is still in the hospital due to some complications. There is no expected discharge anytime soon. Her spirits are high but anxious to get out of the hospital!! Please know how much ya’ll have meant to us, not only to hear from folks but also the giving has been remarkable!!!!!!!!With all our love and gratitude,Carole and Liz
