Oh happy day. This mighty girl has been moved from the ICU to floor 3, our last stop until home , God willing ! Strength? She’s got it. Faith? In spades. Support? Humbling. Love? Overwhelming. She cannot wait to get home but knows it’s not time yet. Chip and I cannot even begin to tell all of you what you have meant to us on this journey. Thank you! . And one last special shout out to Katie’s 5th grade students (and parents) who so sweetly sent a care basket to give to the ICU. They earned it and they loved it. Now let’s pray my next post is when Katie comes home!! Love you all!!

This girl is on fire. She actually walked today. It was so wonderful to walk her around the hallways while the nurses and doctors cheered her on - thank you, Mayo!! Proud is an understatement. Her strength, her resilience, her grace makes me cry. This girl is our hero, our love, our miracle. To all her cheerleaders, we love y’all so much! . And one more shout out to her brother and sister who have shown such sibling love. Cashin kids, you rock and daddy and I are blessed! Can’t wait to write about her next big feat. Keep those prayers coming, y’all!! They’re working!!

Katie,
Collin tells me all the time that he can’t wait until you can come back and that he misses you. You and Collin will be walking miracles together! Our prayers continue to be with you!
