A service dog can cost anywhere from 15k to 45k. Thankfully we were lucky to find a place that is close to our home. My dog will cost 17k, its tasks will include many medical and psychiatric alerts and other tasks. A service dog will help me tremendously to do the things I thought I would never be able to do, like graduate high school, go to college, become a nurse, and so much more!
Lastly we hope to continue to fundraise for care for my dog, cost for travel to treatment, for treatments that my insurance may not cover and any other expenses related to my Service Dog or treatment.
My mom and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for joining and supporting us on our journey as it’s a large financial burden and responsibility for us to take on.
Please check back for updates on ways you can help, videos and events!
Love Aislyn and Alyson
The next publicity task that father Skip wanted to achieve was an article in our local newspaper "The Corry Journal." He interviewed Aislyn and then submitted it to the editor Rebekah Wallace. She then composed a lovely story that she published for us in the Friday January 26th edition "Hometown News" section. If you want to read it go to thecorryjournal.com under the "hometown news" section and scroll until you see the story "Local Girl Raises Funds for Service Dog" January 26th, 2024.
Father Skip Davis wanted help us get some publicity so he set up an interview on Corry's local radio station "Corry's Modern Rock, Radio Alternative" Channel 98.9 FM. it was fun and something neither Aislyn or I (Alyson-mom) have ever done. I attached the You tube link for your listening pleasure below. You can also find it on both on all of Social media platforms. Enjoy!
We had a fun time at our first outing in December at "Christmas in Corry" Friday December 1st 2023. We handed out flyers and business cards, started putting out coin jars at local businesses and introduced ourselves and Aislyn's cause to our community!
