Hi, we’re the Muench Family. Our 10-year-old daughter, Chloe, who was born with Spina Bifida and a paraplegic, will become a big sister in August 2023. As Katie’s baby bump grows, it’s becoming more and more difficult to lift Chloe and her wheelchair in and out of our 2005 Honda Pilot. We currently have put a $500 deposit down on a $72,000 Accessible Wheelchair Van with a VMI in-floor ramp. Our family will be able to afford/finance the chassis part of the van ($40,000) but we’re asking for donations to cover the $32,000 VMI ramp.
We are currently working with our case manager through Developmental Pathways of Aurora and Mobility of Denver Dealership to buy a van by May 2023. We’ve secured about $21,500 in grants: $17,000 DP’s Unmet Needs Fund; $4,000 A.V. Hunter Fund; and $500 Helping Hands COS. We’ve also raised about $4000 in GoFundMe/Cash donations. In total, we have about $25,500 to go towards our $32,000 VMI ramp.
If you’d like to make a donation, please consider donating to Help Hope Live in honor of “Chloe A Muench”. Any money donated on our behalf will go directly to Help Hope Live in her honor to be used at Mobility of Denver Dealership where our van awaits us! In addition, by using Help Hope Live, VMI will contribute $1500 towards the cost of the ramp for the month of May only. So, we’re really hopeful we can qualify for that extra $1500 rebate which is why we’ve chosen Help Hope Live.
We truly appreciate everyone that has donated thus far in getting our wheelchair van. As always, we welcome all prayers as we start preparing for our new bundle of joy.
God Bless!
Brian, Katie, and Chloe Muench
