Our mom and devoted wife, Diane, suffered a severe spinal cord injury on Apr 11, 2023, which caused paralysis from her waist down. On April 7, she was rushed to the emergency room with severe back pain, where they found three lesions on her spine. While waiting for test results, she suffered a spinal hemorrhage and went through two- 12-13 hour emergency surgeries to relieve pressure and to stop and prevent any further bleeding on her spine. She has been stable ever since, and we are so beyond grateful. However, Mom now has an extremely long road ahead of her, due to having no sensation or movement in her legs. She is currently in a medical rehab unit, where she receives a total of three hours of therapy (Physical & Occupational) each day. She is going to need a wheelchair and several other pieces of medical equipment when she comes home to aid in transferring, walking, transportation etc. safely and efficiently. Our plan is to have Diane, eventually attend a very intensive physical therapy program here in Buffalo! It is unfortunately not covered by any insurance, so these funds will help to pay for her future endeavors there, as well as any other medical expenses.
Those of you who know Diane, know she is extremely determined and motivated to fight and walk again. She is such a pleasure to be around and will brighten anyone’s day! She continues to craft and enjoy her favorite hobbies even while fighting each day to grow stronger at rehab.
Donating to Help Hope Live will allow us to invest as much as we possibly can to care for her and ensure she can thrive both now and in the future, while being free from the anxiety and stress that comes from such large expenses and trauma. We are so grateful for each and everyone of you.

Thank you for your support!
Diane continues to regain her strength everyday! She goes to therapy several times every week and has started to stand with mild support! We want to thank everyone for continuing to support our family and all of Diane's medical needs. We are truly humbled.
11/23/23- In the past 7 months, Diane has come a very long way! She is able to get around the house in her wheelchair, get into the car using a lift system and overall is learning how to adjust to life as best as she can. She goes to therapy for 4-5 hours each week and continues to work tirelessly on her strength to one day walk again! Therapy and other medical expenses are still not covered by insurance and are extremely expensive! Any donation helps tremendously! We love you all and are so thankful for your continued support!
Diane continues to get stronger everyday! She is constantly fighting to regain her mobility back. She currently attends outpatient therapy 3x a week and does daily exercises at home. She has come a long way, but still needs several therapy sessions and adaptable equipment, not covered by insurance. Every penny counts! #INTHISFAMILYWEFIGHTASONE
6/9/2023- Diane came home today! We are so grateful for everyone's continued support and prayers! She will continue to have physical and occupational therapy everyday to regain her strength!
