Josh was born in Vietnam and diagnosed with athetoid cerebral palsy. He is confined to a wheelchair and uses an adaptive device to communicate. Josh’s journey has not been easy, but it has been filled with love and determination from those around him to make sure that he receives the care and support that he desperately needs.
Josh has always tried to achieve the impossible! He never gives up. Whether it has to do with overcoming obstacles in his life, or thinking of ways to help others achieve their dreams, Josh always finds a way to do it. He has been awarded an adaptive bike that will allow him to ride and play like any other kid. His dream is to be more independent, to get out into the community more, and to be around other kids his age. Soon, his bike will help him move closer to that goal, but Josh still needs your help.
Josh is only able to travel by a vehicle that can transport his powerchair. The family’s current vehicle was generously donated but is now in need of replacement. Josh is terrified that he will become trapped at home again. He cannot imagine no longer being able to go to youth group, church, shopping or to play hockey. He and his family are fundraising to cover the cost of an accessible vehicle. Your donation to Help Hope Live will help provide Josh with the necessary transportation he needs to keep moving.
Family and friends of Joshua Johnson are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Catastrophic Illness.
Joshua has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
