Dear family and friends,
I have some wonderful news to share with all of you. On December 19. 2009, I was fortunate enough to receive a heart transplant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA. Every day, I am amazed by my progress and grateful to have this second chance at life. It was a wonderful Christmas present for me; as well as my family and friends.

I would just like to thank everyone for their continued support in my post-transplant journey. I apologize for not keeping current updates. I’m going to do better with that.
Life has been great since my transplant. My heart function is good and I’ve had no rejection. I am truly blessed. I am so thankful for my donor and I think about her often.
I am still on numerous medications that I will be required to take many times a day. These medications are quite expensive and can cause financial hardship for my family most months. It is because of donors like you that I am able to help offset that financial burden. So, I will be forever thankful for your support.
If you can please consider donating to my cause. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing my page with your family, friends, churches, groups, social clubs, etc. Every dollar helps and no amount is too small.

Best wishes, Christine, for a full recovery. I have worked with your father at the UMWA Conventions over the years (Connor Reporting/Indianapolis). Good guy to have by your side during these times. Take care.
