Family and friends of Edward Lozada are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with heart transplant.
On January 2014 Edward experienced his first heart attack and under went procedures to place stents in his arteries. In 2017 Edward then had a stroke and was diagnosed with heart failure. Since then, Edward has had a defibrillator surgically placed. Doctors have recommended Edward to be place on the transplant list as his heart is failing. When asked what he would like out of this he wants to have a quality of life. Currently he struggles with his day-to-day activities.
Edward’s transplant has been approved by the Heart transplant committee. We will be traveling to California to do this procedure. As you can imagine the cost, care and recovery are extreme. Even with medical coverages, we are facing many out-of-pocket expenses. We need your support now more than ever.
Edward has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.
